Ola friends,
Our team finally arrived late last noc after multiple events like Shari’s Body search and Gary’s alarm activation at Ohare.
The national “Threat level” was raised to RED after we went through security!
After a few flight delays and a flu shot for Wil, we finally arrived in Sanitago, But no shuttle was awaiting??
After 2 hours of international phone calls we finally convinced someone to bring a mini-van out to get us. We piled 10 people and 16 bags of luggage in a standard van and whipped through the night streets of Santiago and tried to get some rooms.
The water is not safe to drink so this Morn we went for a grocery store run and made lots of new friends. The people are very very nice and loved to try and help.
As you can see if you thought walgreens was bad putting out holiday stuff early, the grocery store was gearing up for Xmas big time.
So now we Await the arrival of our Counter parts and Dr Pascotto to begin the unpacking and setting up at the hospital.
